OK, SO, NODNOL
Mood: Bored
MSN Name: Happy Honda Day!
I've been promising a London update, and before it gets too long, I'll explain a lil bit about the trip. Firstly, we spent a few days in BackBaconilton, chillin' out, maxxin', relaxin' all cool. It was wonderful. Have I ever mentioned how wonderful it can be to spend two weeks with a cook? ;) Jokes, jokes. But MMMMM stuffed bbq-d portobello mushrooms bring me close to the edge.. We stayed alone at a house with a jacuzzi and a deck and it was wonderous. I think the term love shack pretty much encompasses it.
Then off to London. My goodness, that was a ride. I was told that I'm acceptably attractive to be with my partner the minute I walked in the door, and that kinda set the tone for the trip. Lots of drinking, lots of toplessness ("Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!") and silliness, and occasionally we'd run away and go for a walk to get some chill time. I went to London pride, and there was one guy who was the counter-protest, which was nothing compared to how many usually are there. They handed out 'how to handle protesters' flyers. Eek. And the sign cracked me up, so Michelle ran over and posed in front of it, as did others, then two girls came over and started making out in front of it/him. He didn't blink. I got to see my roomate from 1st year, who I dearly miss, which was fabulous. She's all growed-up and engaged. Yikes! Why's everybody gotta go get married so soon? This'll be my fourth married friend my ageish. I'm 23. It shouldn't have started this soon. What else to say? I went to a nude beach, and yes, I stripped down, no, thankfully there are no pics of it. Made a bonfire on the beach, had a few drinks, man that was great. We imported Jane-o to train in from Montreal for my birthday and London pride, which was chaotic as hell but a blast. Making drunk bday phone calls is apparantly very persuasive. Oh yeah, I turned 23 while I was there. I had a few drinks at the queer bar in London, then went and got trashed at another bar, then I was taken out for great Indian food. MMMM.. Oh yeah. I also met 6/9 of "the family" members while I was there. Whoa. That was fun. :D Honestly, it wasn't bad at all, I think I was pretty well liked all around. It was just a lot of meeting people and such.
Then, to end off the trip, we both came back to Mississauga for a couple days, and she met all of my friends. And my parents. Who didn't know anything. Or did they? My mom wanted to make VERY sure she was comfortable, but I'm still not sure.
That's it! C'est vrai.
Until next time.
